Acrylic Wash, Charcoal, Paper
30” x 52”
This drawing was part of a small solo exhibition called “Me After Us” where I experimented with different materials to draw different emotions and troubles I was having after the failure of a 6 year relationship.
“Around” was created by filling a can with acrylic wash and tipping it over onto the paper, spilling and dripping the light colors everywhere. Then (when it dried) with Charcoal and pencils in my hand, I walked around the paper, scratching and scraping the black into shape. This ritual for me was symbolic of the energy I put into advancing our relationship only to end up back at the start time after time.
This piece is unframed thus available to ship at a lower price.
