Acrylic Paint, Wallpaper, Sharpie Marker, on Canvas
10" x 8"
Creating a bigger masterpiece takes skill and practice. I used this smaller canvas to test out the wallpaper adhesive I'm planning to use on a larger piece and then my creative brain took over and made an entirely new piece. The repetitive paper faces first appeared on "Masks of Self" and reappear here in a stacked formation against the wallpaper reminiscent of measuring children's heights, backs against the wall, every few months.
The wallpaper itself originally came from the roll of wallpaper that my family used to measure me and my siblings heights. I recreated those marks on this small strip of wallpaper. The pink colored background is simply an acrylic wash to resemble skin and the edges of the canvas are 3/4 of an inch and are painted with grey making it ready to be put on display.
The canvas comes as is. You may use any kind of hanging wire or hanging device you wish.
